About
The Helmholtz Virtual Institute for Gasification Technology, HVIGasTech is intended to bring together the excellent scientific and engineering competences and research tools of the partner institutes from research centers and universities in Europe to promote a new level of scientific collaboration in the field of thermo-chemical processes for fuel conversion. The research work is focused on the experimental and modeling research of the gasification process of solid/liquid fuel in entrained flow and fluidized bed reactors from lab to pilot scale. The mathematical description of the multi-phase reacting system at high temperature in the gasification reactor is the major scientific challenge of the research cooperation.
The overall objective of HVIGasTech is to provide a framework for scientific collaboration and exchange of knowledge between the partner institutes. The promotion of young scientists working under the umbrella of the research cooperation is a major concern of HVIGasTech.
